Description
The El Pulpo Robusto Grande is a creation by Artesano del Tobacco, produced exclusively by A.J. Fernandez at the San Lotano factory in Nicaragua. The name “El Pulpo” (the octopus) symbolizes the way the cigar “embraces” the palate with its complex flavors. A defining feature of this line is the San Andrés wrapper, which undergoes a special fermentation process to achieve exceptional depth and darkness.
The flavor profile is intense, dark, and highly complex. Dominant notes include dark chocolate, espresso, and licorice, supported by a natural molasses-like sweetness. As the cigar progresses, flavors of black pepper, leather, and roasted nuts emerge. Despite its strength, the cigar remains remarkably balanced thanks to the extended aging of the tobaccos.
