Description
The Slugger by David Ortiz Robusto was developed in collaboration with baseball legend David “Big Papi” Ortiz and produced at Tabacalera El Artista in the Dominican Republic. It is the evolution of the original “Big Papi” cigar and aims to deliver a significantly stronger and more flavour-intense experience. To achieve this, several ligero tobaccos were added to the filler, making the blend noticeably more powerful.
The flavour profile is full-bodied and spicy. Dominant notes of black pepper, leather, and earth are complemented by hints of mocha/coffee, oak/cedar wood, and roasted nuts. The cigar delivers a creamy, dense smoke with a pronounced natural sweetness on the finish, reminiscent of molasses or caramelised popcorn.
