The A.H. Riise X.O. Reserve Port Cask Rum is a limited special release, gaining its unique, fruity and rich flavour profile from finishing in former port wine casks from Portugal. It is a blended rum from the U.S. Virgin Islands, known for its smoothness and complexity.
The Port Cask Rum is praised for its balance between rum sweetness and the fruity, spicy notes of port wine.
Nose: Aromas of ripe red fruits (cherries, berries), vanilla, cinnamon, and dark chocolate.
Palate: Silky and full-bodied, with notes of sweet caramel, plums, raisins, dark berries, and a hint of spices such as nutmeg and cloves.
Finish: A long-lasting, smooth finish with lingering notes of berry compote, sweet spices, and dry oak.
