The Caribbean Dream Chattering Lory from The Parrots Small Batch Rum is an exceptionally aromatic premium rum based spirit drink that combines Caribbean character with intense orange notes. Primary maturation in Bourbon casks followed by secondary maturation in Virgin Oak casks adds further depth, spice and structure.
The nose is immediately opulent and expressive. Tropical fruit, cooked fruit and ripe plums combine with caramel, candied orange and intense Madagascar vanilla. Delicate oak notes provide an elegant contrast to the rich fruit sweetness.
On the palate, the Chattering Lory is dense, fruit driven and vibrant. Sweet and slightly bitter orange flavours meet caramel and a generous selection of ripe fruits. Virgin Oak maturation contributes subtle spice and a finely integrated woody structure.
The medium length finish is intense, complex and fruity. Despite its pronounced sweetness, the spirit remains well balanced and never becomes excessively heavy or cloying. It is particularly enjoyable neat, lightly chilled or with a single ice cube.
