Description
Kopke 2015 Vintage Porto, Quinta S. Luiz, 75 cl
The Kopke 2015 Vintage Porto Quinta S. Luiz is a premium Single Quinta Vintage Port from Portugal's Douro Valley. It comes from the renowned Quinta de S. Luiz, one of Kopke's most important estates. Kopke is recognised as the oldest Port wine house in Portugal. The 2015 vintage combines power, elegance and excellent structure with intense fruit, refined spice and remarkable ageing potential.
This Vintage Port is produced with Touriga Nacional together with a traditional field blend from vines that are partly more than 50 years old. The result is a concentrated yet elegant Port with expressive aromas of blackberry, raspberry and ripe dark fruits. Delicate notes of spice, nuts and white pepper add complexity and depth.
On the palate, the Kopke Quinta S. Luiz Vintage 2015 is full bodied, intense and expressive. Ripe fruit is supported by fresh acidity and firm, finely structured tannins. With aeration, the wine develops even greater complexity and structure. The long and fresh finish highlights its elegant character and considerable ageing potential.
An excellent Vintage Port for lovers of powerful Douro wines, for long term cellar ageing or as a prestigious gift for Port collectors.
