The Teeling 2017 7 Year Old Cask #68094 Ruby Port Cask Single Malt Irish Whiskey is an exclusive single cask release from Dublin and an impressive example of the innovative style of the Teeling Whiskey Company. Distilled in 2017, this Single Malt was initially matured for approximately three years in an ex Bourbon cask before receiving an extended secondary maturation in a Ruby Port cask.
The Port cask gives the whiskey its distinctive red gold colour with copper reflections and adds a rich aromatic profile of ripe red fruits, dark berries and candied fruit. Dark chocolate, toffee and refined spice complement the fruit character and provide additional depth.
On the palate, Teeling Cask #68094 is powerful, concentrated and complex. Ripe fruit is joined by candied berries, toffee and spicy hints of clove. Despite its impressive cask strength of 61.3% ABV, the whiskey remains structured and balanced, with intense fruit and warming spice.
