Bowsaw Small Batch Bourbon is an American straight bourbon whiskey distilled and aged in Kentucky, the traditional home of bourbon. It is produced in small batches to ensure careful ingredient selection and precise craftsmanship. The mash bill consists of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley, giving it a distinct “high rye” character.
It is traditionally matured in new, freshly charred American white oak barrels. The name “Bowsaw” refers to the traditional craft of barrel-making, where such a saw was used to cut the barrel heads. The bourbon is bottled without chill filtration and without added colouring to preserve its natural profile.
Nose: Warm notes of vanilla, caramel, and subtle spices, accompanied by toasted oak and a hint of toffee.
Palate: Smooth and full-bodied, with flavours of oak, honey, and a pleasant sweetness of brown sugar and butterscotch. A peppery note from the high rye content adds complexity.
Finish: Smooth and medium in length, with hints of vanilla, toasted wood, light caramel, and a gentle spice.
