Description
The A.H. Riise Family Reserve Rum is an exclusive blend that was originally reserved for the descendants of Albert Heinrich Riise and served only every five years at family gatherings. For this limited edition (often only 3,000 bottles per year), the master distiller selects the finest and oldest distillates from the Caribbean and Central America, with an average age of up to 25 years, matured using the Solera method.
This rum is characterised by a sweet, rich, and complex flavour profile with pronounced fruit and spice notes.
Nose: Initially aromas of fruit candies, followed by stronger notes with hints of leather, cardamom, and dark spices. Notes of orange, apricot, vanilla, honey, and molasses are also present.
Palate: Sweet and full-bodied with an oily texture, dominated by orange, brown sugar, and tobacco. Candy, caramel, mango, papaya, and a touch of smoke and candied orange peel round off the profile.
Finish: Medium to long, soft and creamy, with lingering notes of lemon-vanilla cream, cinnamon, and a light, pleasant spice.
