Description
McCallum Caol Ila 10 Years Rum Barrel, 70 cl
The House of McCallum Caol Ila 2015 10 Years Rum Barrel is a distinctive Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Scottish island of Islay. Distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2025 after ten years of maturation, this expression combines the classic maritime and peated character of Caol Ila with the sweet and exotic influence of a Rum Barrel.
Caol Ila is renowned for its elegant and comparatively refined style of peat smoke. In this special bottling, classic Islay smoke meets salty coastal notes, mineral freshness and exotic fruit. The Rum Barrel adds gentle sweetness and tropical accents, particularly mango and honey.
The nose reveals barbecue smoke, peat smoke and salty mineral coastal notes. Ripe mango introduces an unexpectedly fruity dimension. On the palate, ashy peat smoke and lemon zest come to the forefront, accompanied by honey, spice and refreshing freshness.
The finish is soft, gently sweet and spicy. Peat smoke and charred wood linger alongside the fruity sweetness of the Rum Barrel. An exciting Islay Single Malt for whisky enthusiasts who enjoy smoky expressions with an unusual exotic cask influence.
